Executive Director and teacher, Melissa Cirilo (Birdwell-Marchi) 

Melissa is a professional educator and creative soul. She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Intensive Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Melissa has over a decade of experience facilitating and managing educational youth development programs. The exciting news is that Melissa is a Young Actors Workshop (YAW) alumni herself! The previous two years, Melissa, was a part of YAW’s Board of Director and Interim Artistic Director for the May 2017 performance of The Last Camp in the World.

Melissa dedicated three years performing in Awkward Face, a improv house troupe for Pan Theater, Oakland. She launched and taught Pan Theater’s Kids Performance Troupe. Melissa has experiencing running a plethora of creative programming which emphasizes on giving children the opportunity to share their stories.

Excecutive Assitant, Adriana Guandique

Adriana is a professional educator and theatre enthusiast. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Drama emphasizing in technical theatre from San Francisco State University. Adriana has worked on various performances as the lighting designer and master electrician. She has taught a variety of creative programing for both Children’s Creativity Museum and Camp Edmo. She enjoys editing videos/audio bits, hiking with her pug, and sewing.
